Yearbook Research

By the end of our first group meeting for the BAGD Yearbook brief we had assigned individual responsibilities to each person. It was my role to research into colour, and the many ways it can be used within editorial design. I came across quite a few examples of what I thought was successful combination of colour and layout. However I also came to the realisation that certain colours where used more than others, and ultimately are therefore almost exhausted. I came to the conclusion that we shouldn't use turquoise, red or yellow, and after discussing it with the rest of the group this was confirmed. Below is a flip book showing some of the best examples of vivid yet subtle colour use I could find online.
